Meet the Owner
I founded this company in 2019 with the goal of providing structured, thoughtful care that truly prioritizes each dog’s well-being. I grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide range of animals, which shaped a deep respect for animal behavior, care, and communication from an early age. That foundation, combined with my experience working in a veterinary hospital in Vancouver, gave me a strong understanding of dog health, safety, and behaviour and continues to influence every decision we make today.
Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for being dependable, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in the dogs entrusted to us. Our clients value not only the level of care we provide, but the honest, open communication we maintain with them. We believe trust is built through transparency, consistency, and shared goals, and we work closely with owners to ensure everyone is aligned on what’s best for their dog. A dog’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being always come first, and every service we offer is approached with intention, care, and respect for the individual animal.
What began as a passion has grown into a trusted company supported by a team of dedicated professionals who have chosen to build their careers working with animals. Every team member is carefully hand-selected and personally trained by me to uphold the same standards of structure, safety, and thoughtful care that define our approach.

Meet the Manager!
I’m Barb, the company manager and resident scheduling wizard! I grew up surrounded by animals and spent years training horses and spending my days working with dogs. My whole life I’ve had a strong and foundational relationship with animals built on respect and care, and Kelsey’s K9s is such a great representation of these values.
I have 10+ years management experience and thrive on organization and developing systems to make sure everything runs smoothly each day in the company. I care deeply for clients and their relationship with their dogs, and I spend my days working directly with the dogs and owners as well as making sure each dog is getting the most out of their interactions with the Kelsey’s K9s team.
I am a passionate believer that consistency of care and communication is central to the relationship between us and the client (and their pups!), and I strive to make sure that each dog in our care is happy, healthy, and thriving with a customized care plan.
The trust our clients have in our services and our longstanding positive reputation means everything to me, and that is why providing thoughtful and structured care geared towards each dog is the cornerstone of this company and my role. We love dogs, we love people, and we love what we do! As I say to clients on rainy days: I would rather spend any day in any weather on the trails with our dogs than in an office cubicle!
